Wheel, Steering. Wood. Eight turned spokes. Wooden hub with metal bars running parallel to hub. Found on the shore of North Manitou Island by Erhardt Peters, one mile south of the Life Saving Station. Possibly from a large steamship Appraised by Pat Labadie (Canal Park Maritime Museum, Duluth) in 1992. Loaned to Maritime Heritage Alliance for display 1993.
