Photograph originally belonged to Linus "Bill" Detzer. He was a Pacific representative for Bethlehem Steel prior to World War II and was imprisoned by the Japanese at Los Banos for three years. His family had a summer place on Lake Leelanau near Leland. His parents, Carl and Cecilia bought him a boat, which was named "Cecilia" after his mother. |
