Under ruffle of stiffened coarsed knit fabric possible cotton. Has w hook & eyes closure at waist. Waist has a stiffened bustle with pocket for purfume inside bustle. Wedding dress of Charlotte Conant Nicholls. Maried April 28, 1898 Material was purchased in Europe - Paris. Dress was made in Oak Park, Illinois. See picture 97.10.02.

One ruffle is torn. Attached satin ribbon around neck. 3 hook & eye closure. 9 boned stiffened slats from waist line. See 97.10.01a for attached dress worn by Charlotte Conant Nicholls.
