This compass was discarded by Coast Guard Inspector, and saved from being thrown into the lake by Fred Dustin who have it to Earhardt Peters (1924-6)

Dock Lamp or Light from the end of the dock on North Manitou Island and the Leland Iron Works dock brought to Leland by Bob Frost who owned the Leland livery. Probably brass with Fresnel lens. "Manufactured by Felthousen and Russell, Buffalo, NY. Patd Dec 3, 1861"

Flag. Wool, Red, White, Bluw. American. 48 Stars. "Sterling U.S. Pat. Off.". This flag was used at the North Manitou Island Coast Guard Station. Lorraine (Goos) Egeler lowered it for the last time when the station was closed in the Spring of 1938. Note- See Document File 1992

Mirror, wall. Glass with oak frame. On the back : "The mirror came off the Schooner Josephine Dresden, who wrecked on North Manitou 1907 Nov 27, Crescent (west side). This mirror was given to my father A.J. White by Captain Charles Anderson, Captain of the Dresden."

Oars. These oars were given to George Littell By Robert M. Largent, then President of Leelanau Hospital. At the time of the auction of articles from the Angel Foundation when they left the Manitous. They were stipulated as a gift to LHS while Mr. Littell was still president. Bob Largeny believes they are steering oars- confrimed by Bill Herd- National Lakeshore.
