Old Court House - Demolished in 1967 Building was formerly used by the Leland Iron Works who offered it to Leelanau County in 1863 if the county seat would be moved from Northport to Leland, a more central location. The offer was accepted.

Advertisement used in the 2004 Leelanau County election to promote the passage of a proposal to move the County seat."Move the County Seat" posters were paid for and distributed by The Committee to Move the County Seat. The yard signs, which were attached to a wire stands were placed along county roads. The proposal passed.
