4. 2003.11.16-17 - Nu Deal and Bonnie Lass docked in the Leland River in Fishtown

   Nu Deal and Bonnie Lass docked in the Leland River in Fishtown, three other boats also docked and one head out into Lake Michigan. Men are seen working on and around the boats, two young girls walk on docks across the river on the south shore. Fishing shanties stand at the side ofthe river, the one on the far right of the photo is in poor shape.

   The Helen S drives into the Leland River while four males look on, one of the men stands in the doorway of thefarthest west shanty on te north side of the river. The Helen S has breaks in her paint and looks worn. The pump must be on as there is a black tube release water out of the side of the boat.

   Hank Steffens Jr. pulling box of fish from the side door of a fish tug, another man's elbw is in the upper righthand corner. The door of the boat is opened and the inside of the boat is shadowed, this takes up about half of the photo as it is taken as a close up. Hank wears a white shirt and has short hair with a part on the side.

   Hank Steffens Jr. pulls fish from ice box for customer who stands on the left of the photo wearing a dark vest over a light, striped shirt. Hank wears a light button-up shirt and a wedding ring. There is a calendar in the center of the photo that reads July 1951. The door of this shanty (likely the Diversions of today) is open which means the shanty across the river can be seen.
