Book, account. Leather bound. Aug. 19, 1862- Nov. 15, 1867. Believed to be the accounts for Cordes and Thies retail operation in Leland. "This record book from Cordes Brothers, was given to Oswald Cordes by Mrs. Mary Ribble in 1941. Mrs. Ribble had been a friend of Peter Cordes. Mrs. Ribble had lived on North Manitou Island, her daughter was Mrs. Hans Sogge who ran the tea room in Leland. Source: Ozzie Cordes
