2004.57 - Martin Melkild Interview
Martin Melkild was born in Northport, Michigan on August 30, 1919. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on January 1, 1942 and was discharged on October 30, 1945. Mr. Melkild tells of his experiences fighting in the Solomon Islands and the Phillippines in the Pacific Theater during WW II. His unit recived several citations.
