Book. The School Reader Third Book by Charles W. Sanders. A reader made up of two parts, of which the first five lessons are devoted to articulation and inflection. The second part, of 108 lessons, contains a list of the more difficult words "at the head of each lesson, as an exercise in spelling and definition." The reading lessons, both poetry and prose, teach a moral lesson as well as a reading lesson. Questions are given at the end of each lesson. From Ida Wagart Kelloge who lived in Flatrock, MI. She is the grandmother of Effie's foster brother. |
