Chronicles of Camp Caho, 1926 |
Scope & Content |
Scrapbook including photographs, brochures, anecdotes, for Camp Caho for the year of 1926. Camp Caho was a summer camp for girls operated between 1916 through the 1930s. The enrollment was limited to 25 girls, personally invited to participate. The camp was located north of Northport on the property owned by the Haserot Family, most of it in and around what was then known as Cherry Home. It was established by Margaret Haserot, the daughter of Francis H. Haserot, who owned the Haserot canning operations in Northport from 1916 - 1970. The Haserot Company (of Cleveland OH) owned fruit and vegetable processing and canning operations in the US and Hawaii. |
